Khatlon Increases the Volume of Industrial Production and Foreign Trade Turnover

BOKHTAR, 14.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Despite the negative impact of the coronavirus pandemic, Khatlon has been able to increase the volume of its industrial production in the past nine months.
Khatlon’s output has reached more than 7 billion tonnes of industrial products. Last year, this figure was equal to over 6.7 billion.
At the same time, foreign trade turnover has increased by 90.5% compared to last year, which amounted to $413.8 million.
More than 1.7 billion somoni has been allocated for the development of this region’s economy. The gross agricultural output is 15.4 billion somoni. Agriculture, animal husbandry and poultry farming are also being actively developed in the region.
This year, 131,792 hectares of land was dedicated to sowing various crops. As for fish farming, 265 fish farms have so far produced over 812 tonnes of fish.
