Tajikistan and EBRD Discuss Financing Green Economy

DUSHANBE, 27.10.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The implementation of state investment projects, including in the field of digital technologies, financing of the green economy, energy and water supply, fulfillment of loan obligations under guarantee agreements, and other issues of cooperation were discussed by the the Minister of Finance Fayziddin Kahhorzoda and the EBRD Managing Director for Central Asia Zsuzsanna Hargitai.
The meeting was also attended by the head of the EBRD Resident Office in Tajikistan Rika Ishii.
The EBRD representatives noted that within the framework of the new cooperation program, using international experience, special attention will be paid to strengthening the private sector by providing the domestic market with competitive domestic goods and creating new jobs.
The parties exchanged views on the development of an Action Plan for the development of the digital economy, the attraction of technical assistance from the bank in the development of the securities market.
