Dushanbe Will Host Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Green Climate Fund in 2022

DUSHANBE, 05.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Dushanbe is expected to host a meeting of the Board of Governors of the Green Climate Fund in 2022, and an agreement is likewise expected to be signed between Tajikistan and the Green Climate Fund. These and other issues related to strengthening cooperation between Tajikistan and the Green Climate Fund were discussed at the meeting of the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection Bahodur Sheralizoda and the Regional Director of the Green Climate Fund Pa Ousman Churchu in Glasgow on the sidelines of the COP26.
The parties also discussed the implementation of projects financed by the Green Climate Fund in Tajikistan, the development and implementation of priority national projects with the involvement of the Green Climate Fund.
Sheralizoda and Churchu also agreed to expand cooperation in attracting grants from the Green Climate Fund for the implementation of priority projects of the country’s economy outlined in national strategies.
