Two years ago, in accordance with the decision of the Council of Tourism Ministers of the ECO member states, Dushanbe was declared the ECO tourism capital. This initiative contributed to the expansion of cooperation with the ECO and the presentation of the achievements of the capital. It also gave a significant impetus to the development of tourism in Dushanbe.

Dushanbe has become not only the administrative, political, economic, and cultural center of the country, but also a city with a lot to offer to tourists.
The event also focused on the implementation of international standards and quality management systems for hotels, and other sites frequented by tourists, as the quality of such services is a key indicator of tourism development.
