Bakery Contest in Sughd Will Begin in August
DUSHANBE, 15.08.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – A bakery contest aptly named Bread will be held in Sughd Province in late August.
The initiative is being carried out to fulfill paragraph 27 of the schedule of festivals, exhibitions, holidays and competitions of traditions and folk crafts in Tajikistan for 2019-2021, approved by the presidential order from December 13, 2018, reported the Office of the Chairman of the Sughd Province.
Bakers will demonstrate different ways of cooking Tajik flat cakes and other products made from wheat flour.
The contest is aimed to revive national traditions and baking art, demonstrate the process of preparing various types of cakes, and to pass on recipes to future generations.
Winners will be awarded diplomas and cash prizes.
