DUSHANBE, 28.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon chaired a governmental meeting on February 28.

At the meeting, Chairman of the State Committee for Land Management and Geodesy Orif Khojazoda reported on the availability of land, its distribution by category, and types of land uses as of January 1, 2022 .

President Emomali Rahmon instructed the responsible persons to attach particular importance to the issue of compiling land reports, putting unused land into agricultural circulation, increasing the area of sown land and efficient use of land, and preventing all kinds of violations of the law in this direction.

Government members also discussed the bills which have been submitted to the Assembly of Representatives for consideration, including on national strategic planning and forecasting, medicinal medical goods and pharmaceutical activity, equality and elimination of all forms of discrimination, environmental protection, and on veterinary issues.

Other issues discussed included the proposal of the Assembly of the People’s Deputies of the Lakhsh district to rename some settlements of Lakhsh, as well as On the Statistical Work Program for 2022, On the State Program for the Development of Publishing and Printing of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022-2027, On the State Program on the Development of New Irrigated Land and Rehabilitation of Land Withdrawn from Agricultural Turnover in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022-2026, as well as On the Program for the Integrated Industrial and Agricultural Development of Khatlon for 2022-2026.

At the end of the meeting, President Emomali Rahmon called for the timely fulfillment of the set tasks and instructed government members to eliminate shortcomings.
