Tajik Embassy in Ukraine Is Adding Citizens to List of Those Who Want to Return

DUSHANBE, 28.02.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – There are about 4,000 Tajik citizens in Ukraine, 101 of them are students, reports the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan.
In connection with the events taking place in Ukraine, martial law has been introduced throughout the country and the closure of the airspace, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs brings the following to the attention of the Tajik citizens.
The Tajik Embassy in Ukraine has created a list of Tajik citizens who have expressed a desire to return home. As of 9:00 am on February 28, there are over 200 people on the list, of which 76 have independently left to Poland and 45 citizens to Moldova.
The hotline of the Tajik Embassy in Kyiv operates round the clock and can be reached at +380933361040. Tajik diplomats are ready to promptly provide advisory assistance on the return of our citizens through the territories of third countries.
Currently, Tajik citizens can leave Ukraine to Poland, Romania, or Moldova without obtaining a visa for a limited period of stay, usually 14 days. Also, Tajik citizens must carry identification documents, among other paperwork.
There are eight checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Polish border — Shegini, Rava-Russkaya, Yagodin, Ustilug, Krakovets, Ugrinov, Smolnitsa, and Grushev.
There are seven checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Moldovan border — Palanca-Mayaki, Giurgiulesti-Reni, Vulkanesti-Vinogradovka, Mirnoe-Tabaki, Chadir Lunga-Novie Toryani, Bessarabka-Serpneve, and Tudora-Starokazache.
There are ten checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Romanian border — Giurgiulesti-Galati, Cahul-Oancea, Leuseni-Albitsa, Skulen-Yasy, Costesti-Stinca, Kriva-Mamaliga, Larga -Kelmensi, Brichani-Rososhani, Oknisa-Sokiryana and Ataki-Mogilev-Podolsky.

Citizens staying in Ukraine must strictly comply with the requirements of the martial law, remain calm, and if possible, remain in their place of residence.
