Ambassador of Tajikistan Meets Heads and Representatives of Institutions and Companies of the German Economic Sector

DUSHANBE, 26.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On March 23, Tajik Ambassador to Germany Imomuddin Sattorov met with a number of heads and representatives of economic structures and companies of this country.
The meeting with the Economic Representative of Germany in Central Asia (AHK) Hovsep Voskanyan and the head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Eastern and South-Eastern Europe, Central Asia Katarina Wittke focused on the issues of establishing close cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany in the fields of economy, trade and investment, as well as on envisaged joint activities.
The activities of the Association of German Chambers of Commerce and Industry (DIHK) cover the entire economy and trade of Germany, and its numerous members are 79 chambers of commerce and industry (IHK) from industry, trade, services and corporations.
The Economic Representative of Germany in Central Asia provides information and advice to German companies and entrepreneurs about market opportunities in Central Asia and, accordingly, to local companies and organizations in the German market.
On March 23, Sattorov met with the Federal Director of the Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade of Germany Urs Unkauf, during which the parties exchanged views on further expanding cooperation with BWA and planned joint events.
The Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade of Germany (BWA) was established in 2003 with headquarters in Berlin and for 17 years purposefully and effectively supports the decisions and projects of its member companies (about 1000) in many countries. BWA members are primarily companies from various sectors that are committed to the future of their business development through successful partnerships based on values.
In order to further expand bilateral economic relations between Tajikistan and Germany, Ambassador of Tajikistan Sattorov met with Executive Director of the Eastern Economic Committee of Germany Michael Harms.
The parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation between the business circles of Tajikistan and Germany in the trade, economic and investment fields.
The activity of the Eastern Economic Committee of Germany as a foreign economic union of the country is aimed at developing economic relations with the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, South-Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
