Creation of Tajik and Korean Joint Production Enterprises Discussed in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 05.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The issue of creating joint production enterprises by Tajikistan and South Korea, including in the free economic zones of the country, was discussed on March 3 by the Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda and the Chairman of the Committee for Northern Economic Cooperation under the President of the Republic of Korea Park Chung-soo.
The parties agreed to expand cooperation in trade, economy, digitalization, e-commerce, industry, agriculture, investment, migration, as well as to increase exports, primarily of Tajik organic agricultural products to South Korea, and further develop socio-economic ties.
The parties also exchanged views on the creation of joint ventures in Tajikistan, including in the free economic zones of the country, and the allocation of grant funds by the Korean side for the implementation of priority projects in Tajikistan, especially in the digital economy, energy and other industries.
