President Emomali Rahmon Receives Credentials of Newly Appointed Ambassadors

DUSHANBE, 02.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon received letters of credence from foreign ambassadors at a ceremony in the Palace of the Nation.
The following 12 newly appointed ambassadors presented their credentials and conveyed greetings of their heads of state.
Among them were the Ambassadors of Japan Aiki Toshihiro, Kwon Dong Seok of the Republic of Korea, Nazih Ali Bahaa El-Din Al-Najari of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mohammed Saeed Mohammed Al Ariqi of the United Arab Emirates, Ibrahim bin Ahmed Al-Muaini of the Kingdom of Oman, Zehavit Ben Hillel of the State of Israel, Henri Vantieghem of Belgium, Willy Kempel of Austria, John Michael Quistad of Norway, Madalina Lupu of Romania, Ivan Lalan Berdutik of Malta, and Alan Hemsen of Canada.
President Rahmon congratulated the newly appointed ambassadors on the commencement of their new mission in Tajikistan and expressed confidence that their fruitful diplomatic activities will inject of new impetus of partnership in various fields of cooperation between Tajikistan and the states that they represent.
He stressed that Tajikistan for the last 30 years of its independence has been constantly striving to establish active and constructive relations with all countries near and far, to expand the ranks of its partners and friends in the international arena.
Tajikistan currently has diplomatic relations with 180 countries and consistently takes the necessary measures for the steady development of relations with these countries.
“We are ready to reinforce mutually beneficial and equal cooperation in various areas of political, security, economic, trade, cultural, and humanitarian spheres with a wide range of the international community,» noted Rahmon.
Regarding the current difficult situation in the world, President Rahmon noted that solidarity is necessary to foster effective international cooperation, as well as enhance mutual understanding between countries in the face of threats and challenges to global security.
«Tajikistan considers the further development of partnership with these countries to be an integral part of its foreign policy and is optimistic about its prospects,» he said.
