Tajik Representatives Attend Celebration of Navruz in Ankara

DUSHANBE, 22.03.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, in the Kechioren district of Ankara, representatives of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Turkey, Tajik citizens and students living in Turkey took part in the celebration of the ancient holiday of Navruz, reports Khovar’s correspondent Manija Maksud.
The event was held in collaboration of the Navruz Area countries and was attended by representatives of 11 countries, including Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Azerbaijan, Afghanistan, Kosovo, Moldova, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and other countries.
People’s artists from 11 countries of the Navruz Area presented interesting performances with their national dances and songs.
The event was also attended by the heads of cities and districts of Turkey, representatives of the ministries and departments of the host country, the diplomatic mission in Ankara, a wide range of media, representatives of science and culture, the intelligentsia of the host country and participating countries.

The chairman of the Kechioren region, Turgut Altynok, and the ambassadors of the countries of the Navruz area spoke.
The representative of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Turkey Parviz Sodiki in his speech congratulated the audience on the great holiday of International Navruz and recalled the important role of Tajikistan in the process of reviving Navruz and turning it into an international holiday.

Per initiative of the Embassy of Tajikistan, at this solemn event, Navruz dastarkhan with national dishes, traditional and cultural products was presented to the audience.
The national costumes of the country, precious stones, traditional instruments, and the books of the President Emomali Rahmon were also presented.
The chairmen of the cities and districts of the host country, with ambassadors and representatives of the countries of the Navruz Area, visited the national dastarkhan of Tajikistan and tasted the country’s delicious dishes.

The celebration of ancient Navruz delighted the audience with poetic performances, a concert program, an exhibition of handicrafts, handicrafts, paintings, books, national costumes, tourism opportunities and product samples promoting Tajik crafts and national dishes.
Following the event, all participants were given national plov.
