President Emomali Rahmon Expresses Condolences over the Death of poet Mehmon Bakhti

DUSHANBE, 20.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon expressed his deep condolences to the family and friends of the People’s Poet of Tajikistan and recipient of the State Prize of Tajikistan named after Abuabdullo Rudaki Mehmon Bakhti.
The message reads:
“Mehmon Bakhti has made a great contribution to the development of modern Tajik literature and drama, for many years he served as the chairman of the Tajik Writers’ Union; he was a member of the National Assembly, served as a deputy of the Assembly of Representatives, and deputy chairman of the Movement for National Unity and Revival of Tajikistan. His works are very popular among the people of Tajikistan.
The good name, patriotic and humane works of Mehmon Bakhti will forever remain in the memory of the people.”
Today, People’s Poet of Tajikistan Mehmon Bakhti passed away at the age of 81.
