Tajik Delegation Attends International Festival of Gold Embroidery and Jewelry

DUSHANBE, 23.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) — A delegation from Tajikistan attended the first International Festival of Gold Embroidery and Jewelry in Bukhara on May 21.
The festival brought together more than 220 foreign guests from 58 countries, including 112 artisans, 9 guests of honor, and 4 high-ranking foreign statesmen.
The delegation includes representatives of the Committee for Women and Family Affairs, jewelers Dilmurod Sharipov, Malika Juraeva, Kristina Ilyas, gold embroiderers Narzi Kalandarova, Salima Karimova and Naima Boboeva, as well as representatives of Dehai Gulzor crafts center.
Thirty-three foreign scientists from 22 states and 20 Uzbek scientists plan to participate in the scientific and practical conference which will be held within the framework of the festival. Also, there will be a fashion show where famous Tajik couturier, multiple winner of international fashion competitions, winner of state and world awards Khurshed Sattorov will represent Tajikistan.
A number of events will also take place as part of the festival, including an exhibition and sale of products made by local and foreign artisans, press conferences to discuss the results of the festival, Bukhara Fashion days and week, folk festivals, performances of puppeteers and tightrope walkers, concert programs with regional folklore groups and departments of culture, pilaf competitions, master classes by local and foreign artisans, book presentations, and excursions to the famous gold-embroidery and jewelry workshops of Bukhara.
The event will end on May 25.
