Tajikistan and Turkey Discuss Expansion of Trade and Economic Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 20.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavki Zavkizoda, and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology of Turkey Chetir Ali Donmez discussed the issues of expanding bilateral trade cooperation.
The foreign trade turnover of Tajikistan and Turkey in 2021 reached $390.5 million, which is 21% more compared to 2020.
The meeting also focused on issues of expanding cooperation on the creation of joint ventures in free economic zones for the processing of cotton fiber, fruits and vegetables and in the field of green economy, including solar power.
The parties expressed their readiness to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation.
