DUSHANBE, 23.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The state and prospects of bilateral and multilateral relations between Tajikistan and Turkiye were discussed today at the meeting of the Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda with the Ambassador of Turkiye to Tajikistan Emre Zeki Karagul.

The parties expressed interest in the greater development and expansion of inter-parliamentary cooperation.

They also exchanged views on the friendly relations between the two countries, and discussed cooperation in the fields of economy, culture, education and healthcare.

Zokirzoda emphasized that over the 30 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Turkiye, thanks to joint efforts, interstate integration in the political, economic and social spheres has been steadily expanding and acquiring ever better levels.

He added that one of the important goals of Tajikistan’s foreign policy is to expand trade, economic and investment cooperation with Turkiye.
