Vienna Hosts Round Table Dedicated to the Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations Between Tajikistan and Austria

DUSHANBE, 30.06.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Austria, a round table was held at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna as part of political consultations between the two countries.
The head of the Tajik delegation Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Farhod Salim presented political and social development of Tajikistan during the period of independence, the importance of the 16th session of the Supreme Council in strengthening statehood of Tajikistan, the 25th anniversary of the National Unity and the key role of President Emomali Rahmon in this process.
Also, he touched upon the issues of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Austria, cooperation within the framework of international organizations, as well as the current state and prospects of Tajikistan’s foreign policy.
The round table was also attended by representatives of the Ministry of European and Foreign Affairs of Austria, the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna, international organizations based in Austria, the diplomatic corps of Vienna and compatriots living and working in Austria who actively participated in the discussion.
