DUSHANBE, 24.07.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, had a telephone conversation with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
At the beginning of the conversation, the Head of our state warmly congratulated the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on his birthday, wishing him health, happiness and further success in implementing the plans. In this context, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, wished the fraternal people of Uzbekistan new achievements along the path of sustainable development.
During the conversation, the Presidents considered topical issues of Tajik-Uzbek relations of friendship, good neighborliness and strategic partnership, with an emphasis on the importance of actively implementing the agreements reached by the parties during the official visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Uzbekistan in June this year.
They also discussed issues of regional security and the upcoming SCO summit, which will be held in September this year in Samarkand.
