Barki Tojik Produced Over 7.65 Billion kWh of Electricity in the First Six Months of 2022

DUSHANBE, 02.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – For the first six months of this year, Barki Tojik has produced a total of 7.65 billion kWh of electricity, which is 71 million kWh more compared to the same period last year. This is a growth of 101% .
Summing up the results of the achievements of the country’s energy sector, Chairman of the Barki Tojik Mahmadumar Asozoda informed journalists about the significant achievements of the sector.
Asozoda said that the volume of electricity exports abroad has also increased by 141.6 million kWh compared to the same period in 2021, reaching a volume of 1 billion 56.5 million kWh. Electricity was mainly exported to Afghanistan and Uzbekistan, and in total for the same reporting period Barki Tojik supplied 10.13 billion kW / h of electricity, of which 358.8 million kW / h is accounted for by Electric Networks, Distribution Electric Grids — 8.7 billion kW / h, abroad (export) — 1 billion 56 million kW / h.
He noted that several projects in the field of electric power are currently being implemented.
