Tajik Gymnasts Win Ten Medals at the East Cup — Olympic Stars Competitions

DUSHANBE, 30.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik gymnasts won 10 medals, including one gold, five silver and four bronze at the international competitions in rhythmic gymnastics “East Cup — Olympic Stars,” which took place from August 24 through August 25 in Ferghana of Uzbekistan.
Tajikistan was represented by the wards of the Specialized Sports School of the Olympic Reserve 1 in rhythmic gymnastics in Dushanbe. All Tajik gymnasts who participated in categories A, B and C received medals.
Ariana Safarova won the gold medal. The second places were taken by Maryam Shukurova, Yasmina Hamidova, Sofia Tursunzoda, Aziza Nuralizoda, and Elizaveta Strelnikova. Bronze awards were won by Vazira Abdusattorova, Shukrona Saidova, Osiya Vorisi and Rohila Tojiddinova.
More than 300 athletes from 8 countries, including Uzbekistan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and others took part in the tournament.
Due to the fact that all Tajik gymnasts won prizes, the national team of Tajikistan was also awarded the team cup of the competition.
