Tajikistan Steps Up Precautionary Measures
DUSHANBE, 25.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan reintroduced coronavirus restrictions at the border. Now, upon arrival in the republic, it is necessary to present the results of a PCR test or a certificate of vaccination against COVID-19, reports the Civil Aviation Agency.
The agency noted that these measures were introduced by the Republican COVID-19 Prevention Commission due to an increase in the incidence of coronavirus in other countries.
“The restrictions are temporary,” the agency added.
Similar measures were introduced by the authorities of other states. Citizens of Tajikistan were asked to carefully study the requirements when entering any country.
According to official data from the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population, not a single case of COVID-19 has been recorded in the country since February 2022. Also, about 90% of local residents have been vaccinated against the infection.
