DUSHANBE. October 15, 2022 /NIAT «Khovar»/. President Emomali Rahmon believes that Central Asia and Russia need to create a «preventive economy» project to join efforts in the context of the global crisis. He said this on Friday at the Russia-Central Asia summit.
“We believe that in the current conditions, the countries of Central Asia and Russia need to find non-standard approaches to the formation of the most effective model of economic cooperation, [such as the] launch of a joint project under the tentative name ‘preventive economy’ to combine efforts in the face of external shocks,” said President Rahmon.
“The policy of sanctions bypassing the UN Security Council has become not the exception, but the rule. We are following these developments with concern. Russia is a key trade and economic partner of Tajikistan and cooperation with it in this area occupies a special place in the complex of relations between the two countries,” he said. «Today we are witnessing how the current system of global economic regulation is undergoing a reformatting process,» he added.
