Tajikistan Film Festival Held in Malaysia

DUSHANBE, 01.11.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On October 28, the Embassy of Tajikistan in Malaysia in collaboration with Tajikfilm and Golden Screen Cinemas hosted the Tajikistan Film Festival in Kuala Lumpur.
The event was dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the 16th Session of the Supreme Council of Tajikistan and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Malaysia.
The opening ceremony of the festival was attended by representatives of the official authorities of Malaysia, diplomatic corps accredited in Kuala Lumpur, media, business circles, scientists, and cultural figures, as well as Tajik nationals and students living in Malaysia.
In his speech, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Malaysia Ardasher Qodiri talked about the achievements and prospects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Malaysia.
He also emphasized that this is the first film festival of Tajikistan in the Southeast Asian region.
In addition, the Director of Golden Screen Cinemas Koh Mei Lee also spoke at the event.
Musical instruments, national costumes, handicrafts and paintings depicting the historical places of Tajikistan, as well as national cuisine dishes and information material on tourism were exhibited.
