About One Million Tourists Visit Tajikistan in 2022

DUSHANBE, 09.01.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – About 1 million tourists visited Tajikistan in 2022.
Most of the foreign citizens came to Tajikistan from neighboring countries.
Over the past year, more than 100 infrastructure facilities have been built and put into operation in Tajikistan as part of the development of the tourism sector.
During the past 5 years, more than 3.9 million travelers have visited Tajikistan. Also, the total number of tourist infrastructure exceeded 600 service facilities.
Additionally, since January 1, 2022, the authorities of Tajikistan unilaterally introduced visa-free entry for citizens from 52 countries, and a simplified version of obtaining a visa was introduced for another 126 states.
