DUSHANBE, 14.01.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, a telephone conversation took place between the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov.

The heads of state exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.

During the conversation, the parties discussed the state and prospects of the Tajik-Kyrgyz cooperation.

The heads of state noted the results achieved by the countries over the past three decades in the development of interstate cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian and other fields, the positive experience of cooperation on the platforms of international and regional organizations.

The importance of resolving all existing issues in the spirit of friendship and good neighborliness was emphasized.

In this regard, the parties spoke in favor of a constructive approach to resolving all pressing issues of the Tajik-Kyrgyz bilateral agenda and intensifying the negotiation process within the framework of the intergovernmental commission on delimitation and demarcation of the state border.

It should be noted that the description of 100.25 kilometers of the state border line has been completed recently. Thus, to date, the agreed border line as a whole is about 625 kilometers, or 63 percent of its total length.

During the telephone conversation, an exchange of views also took place on certain issues of the regional and international agenda.
