Presidents of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan Hold a Phone Conversation

DUSHANBE, 16.02.2023 (NIAT Khovar) –Today, a telephone conversation took place between the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
At the beginning of the conversation, in connection with the natural disaster of an avalanche in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Province, the head of the neighboring state expressed sincere condolences and words of sympathy to the families and relatives of the victims and the people of Tajikistan.
In continuation of the conversation, the heads of the two states exchanged views on topical issues of a regional nature, especially on the problems of climate change and prevention of the impact of its consequences on the environment.
The parties also considered certain topical issues of bilateral Tajik-Uzbek cooperation.
