Tajik Delegation Attends the 13th Governing Board Meeting of the Regional Centre on Urban Water Management

DUSHANBE, 28.02.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – From February 22 through February 24, the Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma participated and had a speech at the 13th Governing Board Meeting of the Regional Centre on Urban Water Management as part of his business trip to Tehran.
The event was attended by ministers, deputy ministers, representatives of 15 countries and 8 member organizations of this Center and was held under the chairmanship of the Minister of Energy of Iran Ali Akbar Mehrabian.
In his speech, Juma emphasized the importance of the global initiatives of the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in solving the global water problems, including the usage of water in cities.
In this context, the participants were invited to take part in the UN Conference on the mid-term comprehensive review of the implementation of the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development, 2018-2028,” which will be held on March 22-24, 2023 in New York under the chairmanship of Tajikistan and the Netherlands.
