President of Turkmenistan Will Pay a State Visit to Tajikistan This April

DUSHANBE, 09.03.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – In April this year, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay a state visit to Tajikistan. The issue of preparation for this visit was discussed yesterday in Dushanbe during negotiations between the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Mukhriddin and Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting focused on topical issues of Tajik-Turkmen relations in the political, economic, humanitarian and other areas.
The parties also exchanged views on the interaction of the two countries within the framework of regional and international organizations.
“Particular attention was paid to the preparation of the state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan scheduled for the first half of April 2023,” the ministry said.
The ministers also discussed preparations for the Fifth Consultative Meeting of Heads of Central Asian States and the next meeting of the Council of Heads of the Founding States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea in Dushanbe in September 2023.
It should be noted that Meredov arrived in Dushanbe on an official visit on March 8.
