Dushanbe Hosts the Meeting of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union

DUSHANBE, 16.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the 10th meeting of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation between Tajikistan and the European Union was held in Dushanbe.
The meeting was chaired by the Vice Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives Dilrabo Mansuri and the co-chairman of this meeting, the head of the delegation of the European Parliament Andris Ameriks.
The meeting focused on “Adoption of the draft protocol of the 9th meeting of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation between the European Union and Tajikistan,” “The current situation of cooperation between the European Union and Tajikistan,” “ Regional policy of the European Union and Tajikistan in Central Asia,” “Human rights, the rule of law and social policy, including the expansion of civil society and fundamental freedoms,” “Date and venue of the 11th meeting of the Committee for Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation between the European Union and Tajikistan.”
It was expressed confidence that today’s meeting would be an effective next step in strengthening relations between Tajikistan and the European Union.
