DUSHANBE, 19.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in Minsk, as part of a meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda together with heads of parliaments of the member states of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly were received by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko.

Lukashenko stated that Belarus attaches particular importance to the parliamentary aspect as an integral part of the successful activities of the CSTO, its further improvement and development.

It was noted that parliamentarians, through active participation in development processes and strengthening the potential of the CSTO, can enhance the role of the organization in the system of international relations.

It was expressed confidence that the meeting of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly in Minsk would be held in a constructive atmosphere and would contribute to the adoption of specific decisions aimed at strengthening the allied relations of the Organization’s member states.
