Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives Zokirzoda Attends a Special Meeting of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan

DUSHANBE, 16.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, a parliamentary delegation led by the Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda took part and made a speech at a special meeting of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan in honor of the 100th anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev in Baku.
Zokirzoda noted that Tajikistan highly appreciates friendly relations and historical cooperation with Azerbaijan, based on trust and mutual understanding.
The Speaker of the Assembly of Representatives also recalled the state visit of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to Tajikistan and noted that its results opened a new page in the modern chronicle of relations between the two states.
It was expressed confidence that interstate relations would continue to develop and strengthen in the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
