Tajikistan and Turkiye Strengthen Cooperation on Environmental Issues

DUSHANBE, 15.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Issues of cooperation in the field of environmental protection were discussed in Dushanbe by the Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection Bahodur Sheralizoda and the Turkiye Ambassador to Tajikistan Umut Acar.
The parties expressed their readiness to sign an intergovernmental agreement «On cooperation in the field of environmental protection.»
The meeting also focused on the implementation of the Zero waste project, the development of legal norms for the processing of waste, the phasing out of plastic bags up to 15 microns thick and the processing of plastic materials.
