Tajikistan Intends to Export Grapes to China

DUSHANBE, 23.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – As we previously informed, on May 18 in the People’s Republic of China, the Protocol was signed between the Committee for Food Security under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the General Customs Administration of the People’s Republic of China on phytosanitary requirements for the export of fresh grapes from the Republic of Tajikistan to the People’s Republic of China.
The Protocol was signed for the purpose of expanding cooperation in the field of food safety, as well as accounting for the main position of the agrarian sector in ensuring food safety.
The signing of this protocol contributes to the organization and creation of conditions for the establishment of direct contacts between the agricultural sector for the export of fresh grapes from the Republic of Tajikistan to the People’s Republic of China and, in general, to improve the state of the economy of the country.
It should be noted that on May 16-19, following the state visit of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon to the People’s Republic of China, new documents on cooperation were signed between Tajikistan and China.
