Tajik Textile Companies Increase Competitiveness in the International Market

DUSHANBE, 14.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – “Technological innovation is a key tool for success in the textile and clothing industry,” said the Minister of Industry and New Technologies of Tajikistan Sherali Kabir at the two-day seminar in Italy.
The seminar was held as part of the ITMA 2023 International Exhibition of Textile and Clothing Technologies, which is taking place from June 8 through June 14 in Milan.
According to the minister, visiting international exhibitions will provide an excellent opportunity for Tajik companies to become competitive in the international market, meet potential buyers and establish new business contacts, get information about new modern equipment, and learn more about the requirements of the world market.
The exhibition in Italy has become a unique opportunity for Tajik textile manufacturers to establish contacts with manufacturers of the latest equipment and technologies, increase knowledge about modern methods of product development and processing with advanced methods, search for new partners and investments.
Participants discussed the impact of digitalization and automation on sustainability, technical solutions for automation and digitalization in areas such as digital design, pattern making, digital printing and automated cutting.
It was also discussed upcoming EU regulations and their implications for apparel manufacturers in developing countries, traceability solutions, the transition from linear to circular practices and meeting the growing demands of brands and retailers for circular products.
