DUSHANBE, 20.06.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Economic opportunities and investment climate of Tajikistan were presented yesterday in Dushanbe at the business and investment forum of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea.

The forum was organized per initiative of the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea.

It was attended by more than 150 entrepreneurs and investors from Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea.

The forum was aimed to attract investors and entrepreneurs of the Republic of Korea to the economy of Tajikistan, strengthen cooperation in priority economic areas, present the investment climate and opportunities of Tajikistan, expand trade relations between the two states, and create industrial enterprises.

The cooperation between the two states in various economic spheres is expanding more and more, as evidenced by joint industrial enterprises in Dushanbe and Bokhtar.

It was emphasized that there are still many unused opportunities between Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea, their effective use in the future will be to the benefit of both states.

The forum focused on the issues of strengthening trade and economic cooperation, ways of cooperation in such areas as industry, energy, tourism, attracting capital, developing entrepreneurship, and establishing joint industrial enterprises.

The business and trade circles the Republic of Korea were presented with the investment climate and opportunities of Tajikistan in priority areas, including industry, energy, tourism and banking.

As part of the forum, bilateral meetings were held in B2B format, as well as documents on cooperation between the investment and business circles of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea were signed.

It is expected that a delegation of entrepreneurs and investors of the Republic of Korea will visit manufacturing enterprises and industrial zones of Tajikistan.
