DUSHANBE, 19.07.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On July 19, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Honorable Shavkat Mirziyoyev, within the framework of the First Summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Arab countries of the Gulf in the city of Jeddah of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the conversation, a wide range of issues of cooperation, friendship, brotherhood and good neighborliness of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan were discussed.
President Emomali Rahmon expressed satisfaction with the current state and level of relations between the two states, and the measures taken by governments to deepen ties.
The parties discussed the state of relations between the two countries, both at the bilateral level and within the framework of regional and international organizations.
It was emphasized that the participation of the two countries in the first Summit of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the Arab countries of the Gulf can serve the interests of the states.
During the meeting, the parties also had a fruitful dialogue on other topics of interest.
