Heads of Central Asian States Sign an Agreement on Strengthening Land Transport Relations

DUSHANBE, 15.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The Heads of State of Central Asia signed five documents on cooperation, one of which is the Agreement on Strengthening Land Transport Relations in Central Asia.
The purpose of the Agreement is to strengthen sustainable cooperation in the Central Asian region in the field of transport and logistics.
The document also contributes to the creation of favorable conditions for the development of international transport through land transport, ensuring a competitive environment in the transport services market in the Central Asian region, increasing efficiency and the formation of new international corridors, including multimodal corridors, simplifying the process of transportation and transit through surface transport, development of modern transport and logistics services, introduction and use of innovative technologies, especially digitalization of the transportation process, encouragement and development of the practice of using environmentally friendly modes of transport.
