Tajik Representative Attends the First Consultative Meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of Central Asia and China

DUSHANBE, 25.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – As part of the 30th Yangling International Agricultural Expo and the High-Level International Forum on Soil Health Protection, on September 19, the Minister of Agriculture of Tajikistan Kurbon Hakimzoda took part in first consultative meeting of the Ministers of Agriculture of Central Asia and China.
The meeting was also attended by the Ministers of Agriculture of China, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, and the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to China.
The meeting focused on importance of creating conditions to ensure food security for the population in the region, improving the quality of food products in the countries of Central Asia and China, rural development, preventing climate change and soil disturbances, drought, efficient use of water resources and rational use of natural resources.
Along with this, the participants expressed their opinions on strengthening further cooperation in the fields of crop production, agricultural mechanization, the transition to green agriculture, digital agriculture, exchange of experience and advanced training of workers in the agro-industrial complex, creation of technology parks for crop production, agricultural machinery, processing and packaging agricultural products, improving scientific cooperation.
