Somon Air Operates First Flight from Dushanbe to Islamabad

DUSHANBE, 14.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Somon Air operated the first flight from Dushanbe to Islamabad.
In the near future, as part of the route network expansion program, Somon Air plans to operate flights to Pakistan on a regular basis, which will serve as a new impetus for the development of bilateral relations.
This year Tajikistan and Pakistan mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. The opening of a direct flight in this landmark year is intended to strengthen and expand bilateral cooperation in the cultural, humanitarian, economic, trade and tourism fields.
Dushanbe and Islamabad are in the same time zone, passengers of the flight do not need to change lanes. Travel time from Dushanbe to Islamabad is 90 minutes. The flights will be operated by Boeing 737-800 and Boeing 737-900 aircrafts.
Somon Air has been successfully operating in the international market since 2008. It is a member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The company has available Boeing 737-800 and 737-900 aircrafts.
Somon Air is focused on expanding the route network of air transportation and air fleet. It currently operates regular flights from Tajikistan to Germany, the UAE, Turkiye, India, Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
