Tajik Representative Attends the International Conference on Food Security in Samarkand

DUSHANBE, 13.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik Minister of Agriculture took part in the International Conference on Food Security in Samarkand.
The conference was attended by representatives of 43 countries.
In his speech, the Minister of Agriculture of Tajikistan noted that food security is an important part of the national security of countries, including Tajikistan, and its provision is one of the main priorities of the country’s National Development Strategy for the period until 2030.
The attention of the conference participants was drawn to solving problems related to climate change and the growing threat of global warming.
It was emphasized that the government of Tajikistan is well aware of the problem of climate change and its consequences, and is concentrating its efforts on adaptation to climate change.
