Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon Attends the Opening of a Cultural and Entertainment Park in Rudaki District

DUSHANBE, 26.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On October 26, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, commissioned in Rudaki district a cultural and entertainment park after renovation.
This park was built on Javonon Street with the funding of the executive authorities of the district and the contribution of local entrepreneurs dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The total area of the park is 3.5 hectares. The entrance of the facility was built in the national architectural style and decorated with interesting patterns. More than 800 decorative and shady trees have been planted in the park.
4 different fountains give a different shine to the park area. 75,000 seasonal and perennial flowers have been planted along the walkway and around the benches and other corners of the park with a new look and interesting design. The lawn area of the facility is equal to one hectare.
Inside the park, there are service facilities, such as a cafe with 40 seats, adults’ rest areas, children’s entertainment areas, a 120-square-meter football field and a chess corner.
In the center of this park, there is a symbol of a glacier, which is a sign of support and promotion of Tajikistan’s international initiative in the field of water and climate, including the International Decade of Action «Water for Sustainable Development», 2018-2028 and 2025 — «International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation».
9 attractions have been installed in the territory of the facility to provide entertainment for teenagers and youngsters. The sculpture of rare animals and birds, skillfully made and installed in every corner of the park, reflects the colorful nature of Tajikistan.
Honorable Emomali Rahmon thanked the officials for building such a modern park and considered it important to use the available opportunities effectively.
Then, President Emomali Rahmon unveiled the statue of the hero of the Tajik people Spitamen in the center of the cultural and entertainment park of Rudaki district.
The area near the monument is 750 square meters and is suitable for holding cultural events.
The monument was placed in the park to honor the efforts of the hero of the Tajik people Spitamen on the path to freedom.
Spitamen’s struggle for independence and freedom is written in golden letters on the pages of the history of Tajiks. The height of the new monument is 12 meters, it was made by the sculptor Khurshed Huseynov with great skill.
In the other corner of the cultural and entertainment park of Rudaki district, the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon visited the exhibition of folk crafts. The artists of Rudaki district presented carving, pottery, blacksmithing, painting, spinning and weaving, embroidery, goldsmithing and various crafts in separate corners.
President Emomali Rahmon praised the skills of the residents of Rudaki district and tasked those responsible for attracting teenagers and youngsters in vocational training as much as possible.
