Qatari Nebras Power Expresses Readiness to Invest in the Construction of the Shurob HPP

DUSHANBE, 02.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 29 in Doha, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan Zavki Zavkizoda met with the Chief Executive Officer of the Nebras Power Khalid Mohammed Jolo.
The meeting took place as part of the fourth meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Qatar on Economic, Trade, Scientific and Technical Cooperation.
It was provided information on the possibility of investing in priority projects of Tajikistan, especially in the construction of the Shurob hydroelectric power plant. The Qatari energy company was invited to invest in the continuation of the construction of these large projects.
Khalid Mohammed Jolo emphasized that he was informed about the energy potential of Tajikistan and expressed his readiness to invest in the Shurob HPP.
