Tajikistan and Japan Expand Cooperation Towards Strengthening the Intellectual Potential of Government Agencies

DUSHANBE, 30.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – A meeting of representatives of ministries and departments of Tajikistan with the Vice-President of Hiroshima University — President of the Appraisal Society of Japan, Professor Yoko Ishida took place on October 27 in Dushanbe.
The meeting focused on issues of mutually beneficial cooperation in the direction of strengthening the intellectual potential of government bodies, as well as those related to the monitoring and evaluation of strategic planning documents of the republic and problems in this direction.
It was noted that one of the main tasks facing today is the coordination of the implementation of the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan for the period until 2030, medium-term development programs and the Sustainable Development Goals together with sectoral and regional programs and strategies.
Today, work has been intensified jointly with responsible officials of central and local government authorities, trainings and consultations are being conducted with the involvement of specialists from Japan.
Professor Ishida presented a presentation “Findings and research on monitoring and evaluation in Tajikistan.”
Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to expand mutually beneficial cooperation in the implementation of the country’s strategic planning documents.
