DUSHANBE, 14.12.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 14th, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in order to get acquainted with the process of constructive measures to welcome the 35th anniversary of state independence, the living conditions of residents, the implementation of strategic goals and state programs, the state of agricultural work and the opening of a number of facilities of various economic and social purposes arrived on a visit to Khatlon Province.

In the city of Levakant, the Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon was warmly welcomed by the Chairman of Khatlon Province Davlatali Said and other officials.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan first opened a new educational building of the branch of the State Institution «International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan» in Khatlon Province in Levakant, and became familiar with the modern educational opportunities in it.

The new branch building of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan in Khatlon Province was built according to a modern project to further increase the quality of education and training based on world standards in the light of the educational policy of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan at the expense of special funds of the educational institution on an area of 1.55 hectares.

The foundation of the new educational facility was launched as part of the construction measures to celebrate the 35th anniversary of state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan and consists of a basement and 7 floors.

The educational building is designed for 2,500 students per shift, has 27 office rooms, 37 spacious classrooms, 4 centers, including the Green Economy Research Center, the Center for International Cooperation and Project Implementation, the Russian Language Center, the Center for Artificial Intelligence, and activity laboratories of customs and 1C accounting.

The establishment of an educational hotel, a restaurant service and an educational restaurant furnished with all educational equipment and visual aids, scientific-electronic libraries with a rich database of artistic and technical literature and reading rooms with 120 seats, a meeting room and a dining room with 500 and 130 seats, respectively, are among other possibilities of the new facility.

The technological park and the branch of the scientific-research institute of the university in the new building is one of the other segments of the branch created in this institution with the purpose of applying the theoretical knowledge of students in practice and deepening the study of modern sciences within the goals of «Twenty years of study and development of natural, exact and mathematical subjects in the field of science and education».

The course of education at the branch of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan in Khatlon Province in the department of full-time and distance education is carried out through the credit education system in accordance with the state educational plans and programs.

Today, more than 930 persons study in the branch in 15 specialties, including tourism and health resort, customs service, economy and organization of production, finance and credit, international relations and public administration.

President Emomali Rahmon, while reviewing the possibilities of the institution and the activity of scientific-research centers and laboratories, emphasized that using such conditions, special attention should be paid to the training of highly qualified personnel in the field.

It is noteworthy that with the opening of this building, 100 people will be provided with additional jobs along with the employees, and in the future, considering the number of students to reach 5 thousand, this indicator will increase.

Today, the university has beneficial cooperation with more than 160 foreign institutions of higher professional and scientific education, as well as international organizations and structures, and in order to increase the skills and level of specialization, it has conducted academic exchanges of teachers and students.

The head of state expressed satisfaction over the modern opportunities in the new building of the branch of the State Institution «International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan» in Khatlon Province with the establishment of modern centers and laboratories and innovative centers for acquiring professional skills for students, in the direction of the implementation of educational plans and programs, especially the goals of «Twenty years of study and development of natural, exact and mathematical subjects in the field of science and education, 2020-2040», and gave useful instructions and advice for the wide use of training opportunities to increase the level and quality of education and prepare professional specialists.
