Tajik PM Rasulzoda Attends the Meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government — Prime Ministers

DUSHANBE, 19.12.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On December 18, a meeting of the Council of Heads of Government — Prime Ministers of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Moscow.
Before the Council meeting, the delegations got acquainted with the international exhibition “Russia” and expressed interest in exchanging experiences and strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual benefit.
Initially, Russian President Vladimir Putin made a video message and called it important to hold a meeting of the Council and strengthen ties between member states in various directions and areas.
The meeting focused on the results and further ways of its development.
Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda emphasized that Tajikistan’s foreign policy has been established taking into account the interests of all parties and, within the framework of the goals of the Heads of the Commonwealth member states, drew the attention of those present to strengthening ties in the spheres of economy, industry, education and culture.
Tajikistan’s readiness to host the Fifth Forum of Scientists of the CIS Member States next year was assessed as the best initiative of the Head of State of Tajikistan within the framework of strengthening cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
Tajikistan highly values its participation and activities within the CIS and the expansion of multilateral cooperation within the organization plays an important role in the country’s foreign policy.
It was emphasized that the CIS member states are the main trade and economic partners of Tajikistan.
Participants also discussed current issues and prospects for cooperation within the framework of the goals of the heads of state and expressed their readiness to strengthen ties.
Following the meeting, a new cooperation document was signed on the prospects of cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
