Industrial and Agricultural Products, Economic and Trade Potential of Tajikistan Presented in Berlin

DUSHANBE, 24.01.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – From January 19 through January 28, the 88th International Exhibition of Agricultural Products «International Green Week» will take place at the Berlin Exhibition grounds.
On January 18, the Tajik delegation took part in the official opening ceremony of the World Food Forum and the International fair «Green Week 2024».
The National Corner of Tajikistan presented environmentally friendly products of agriculture and food industry, products of domestic companies, as well as displays of fascinating nature and folk crafts.
On the sidelines of the exhibition, bilateral meetings were held between the Minister of Agriculture of Tajikistan and the delegation of the World Bank, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) and the German company «BayWa».
On January 20, the 16th Conference of Agriculture Ministers on «Food Systems of the Future: Together for a World Without Hunger» took place in Berlin, chaired by the German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir and attended by some 65 agriculture ministers and representatives of international organisations.
A declaration (communiqué) was adopted at the end of the conference.
It should be noted that the exhibition was founded in 1926 and is held annually in Berlin under the title «International Green Week».
This year the «International Green Week» is held for the 88th time and covers an area of more than 118,000 square metres, with 1,400 exhibitors from 61 countries showcasing various food products, domestic animals, livestock and agricultural machinery.
Around 300,000 visitors are expected to attend the exhibition.
