Tajikistan Invites UN and Other Member States for Cooperation within Dushanbe Process

DUSHANBE, 24.01.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On January 23, the High – Level Briefing to Member States on the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism’s Programmes and Projects in Central Asia Achievements and Way forward was held at the UN.
The meeting was organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism, Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate and the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia aimed at discussing current and emerging threats in the field of counter-terrorism in Central Asia and presenting key achievement of Central Asia countries in this field.
The Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the UN Jonibek Hikmat noted the importance of timely implementation of regional and national projects to combat terrorism and extremism.
He also invited UN and other members states for cooperation and support within the framework of Dushanbe process on countering terrorism and its financing.
