DUSHANBE, 02.01.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – According to the data obtained, 38 resorts and sanatoriums operate in Tajikistan, of which 4 are located in the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region, 9 in the Khatlon region, 18 in the Sughd region and 7 in districts of republican subordination.

These sanatoriums provide favorable conditions for relaxation and treatment of local residents, as well as foreign guests and tourists.

One of these sanatoriums is Garmchashma. The warm healing springs of Garmchashma are located at a distance of 48 kilometers from Khorug and 73 kilometers from the center of the Ishkoshim district at an altitude of 2770 meters above sea level in a beautiful gorge. This sanatorium is closed in winter. Cardiovascular, musculoskeletal diseases, diseases of the nervous system and female organs are treated at Garmchashma.

The sanitary and hygienic conditions in the Garmchashma sanatorium fully meet the necessary requirements.

The Yamchun sanatorium (Bibi Fotima Zahro) is also located in the Ishkoshim district. It has one-story buildings and cottages with modern conditions, the total area is 1.3 hectares. It is located at a distance of 178 kilometers from Khorug, at an altitude of 3300 meters above sea level. This sanatorium is also known for its healing capabilities.

At the 25th kilometer in the southern direction of the Ishkoshim district there is the Avj hospital, which has been operating since 1972. The season begins in April, services are provided here for vacationers and tourists.

Another sanatorium is Bahoriston, which today is widely known to tourists and guests, even far beyond its borders.

It is located in the north of Tajikistan, on the shores of the Tajik Sea — in the city of Guliston. The sanatorium is located on 22 hectares, it has medical buildings, indoor and outdoor pools for swimming and coastal relaxation, 5 dormitory buildings, a dining room, a sports ground, a disco club, bowling alley, Internet club, SPA complex, children’s playground, cinema hall, cosmetology center and national teahouse.

The Bahoriston sanatorium has good sanitary and hygienic conditions for treatment and comfortable rooms for relaxation. Here, services are provided to local residents, foreign guests and tourists at all times of the year.
