DUSHANBE, 07.02.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – The Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali received the Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Tajikistan Mubarak bin Abdulrahman Al-Nasr at his request.

Initially, Rustam Emomali congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to this position and wished him success in promoting the diplomatic mission.

The parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of relations between Tajikistan and Qatar, both in bilateral and regional formats.

It was emphasized that as a result of high-level political dialogue, fruitful relations are regularly developing and the legal basis for relations between the two states is being strengthened.

The parties discussed the state of cooperation in the political, economic, trade, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres, including increasing the volume of trade turnover, expanding the structure of mutual trade and greater attraction of Qatari investors in various sectors of the economy of Tajikistan.

Speaker of the National Assembly also thanked the Qatari side for hosting the 2023 Asian Cup at a high level, as well as for the sincere reception and creation of favorable conditions for the Tajik national football team.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on the political situation in the region and the world, cooperation between states within the framework of international and regional organizations.
