Tajik National Bank, State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland vow to enhance bilateral cooperation

DUSHANBE, 18.06.2024 /NIAT «Khovar»/. The issue of expanding bilateral cooperation of the National Bank of Tajikistan with the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland in the Republic of Tajikistan (SECO) was discussed in Dushanbe at the meeting of the Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Firdavs Tolibzod with the Director of Macroeconomic Programs of SECO in the Republic of Tajikistan Ronald Gindrat.
At the meeting, the chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan noted that partnership with this influential organization has allowed to implement a number of important reforms in the financial sector and banking system in recent years. In particular, several guidelines and rules of the banking supervision sector, such as corporate governance, financial stability, overdue loans and other instruments of banking regulation have been amended within the framework of SECO projects, which have shown significant results.
The parties expressed interest in the implementation of further banking sector reform projects.
