Tajikistan and the UNDP Strengthen Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 17.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – The issue of strengthening cooperation between Tajikistan and the UN Development Program was discussed on July 15 by the First Deputy Prime Minister of Tajikistan Hokim Kholikzoda and the Administrator of the UN Development Program Achim Steiner.
The meeting focused on water issues, the energy sector, and the preservation of glaciers.
It was also discussed the goals and objectives of the National Development Strategy of Tajikistan for the period until 2030, the implementation of key priorities of the Government of Tajikistan in the direction of ensuring sustainable economic and social development.
It was noted the need to strengthen cooperation between Tajikistan and the UNDP in all areas.
The meeting took place within the framework of the High-Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development at the UN headquarters.
